DESCRIPTION

TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat Daytime Liquid with Cool Burst™ contains acetaminophen 500 mg and dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg in each 15 mL (1 tablespoonsful).

TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ contains acetaminophen 500 mg, dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg and doxylamine succinate 6.25 mg in each 15 mL (1 tablespoon).

TYLENOL® Sore Throat Daytime Liquid with Cool Burst™ contains acetaminophen 500 mg in each 15 mL (1 tablespoon).

TYLENOL® Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ contains acetaminophen 500 mg and diphenhydramine HC1-25 mg in each 15 mL (1 tablespoon).

ACTIONS

Acetaminophen is a clinically proven analgesic/antipyretic. Acetaminophen produces analgesia by elevation of the pain threshold and antipyresis through action on the hypothalamic heat regulating center. Acetaminophen is equal to aspirin in analgesic and antipyretic effectiveness and it is unlikely to produce many of the side effects associated with aspirin and aspirin-containing products. TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat Daytime Liquid with Cool Burst™ , in addition to acetaminophen, contains the cough suppressant dextromethorphan hydrobromide.

TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ , in addition to acetaminophen and dextromethorphan hydrobromide, contains the antihistamine doxylamine succinate.

TYLENOL® Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ , in addition to acetaminophen, contains the antihistamine diphenhydramine HCl.

USES

TYLENOL® Sore Throat Daytime Liquid with Cool Burst™ temporarily relieves minor aches and pains due to:

• sore throat · muscular aches · the common cold
• headache
• temporarily reduces fever

TYLENOL® Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ temporarily relief of:

• sore throat · headache · minor aches and pains · sneezing
• runny nose
• temporarily reduces fever

TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat Daytime Liquid temporarily relieves:

• minor aches and pains · headache · coughs · sore throat

TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat NightTime Liquid temporarily relieves:

• minor aches and pains · headache · coughs · sore throat · runny nose · sneezing

DIRECTIONS

WARNINGS

Alcohol warning:    If you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage.

Sore throat warning: If sore throat is severe, persists for more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting, consult a doctor promptly.

Do not use

• with any other product containing acetaminophen
• with any other product containing diphenhydramine, even one used on skin. (for TYLENOL® Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ only)
• if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (certain drugs for depression, psychiatric or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. (for TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ products)

Ask a doctor before use if you have

• cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus)
• chronic cough that lasts or occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema

• glaucoma
• cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus)
• chronic cough that lasts or occurs with smoking, asthma, chronic bronchitis, or emphysema
• trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland

(for TYLENOL® Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ )

• a breathing problem such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis
• trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland
• glaucoma

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if

you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers (for TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ and TYLENOL® Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ only)

When using this product

• marked drowsiness may occur
• avoid alcoholic drinks
• alcohol, sedatives and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness
• be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery (TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ only)
• do not drive a motor vehicle or operate machinery (TYLENOL® Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ only)
• excitability may occur, especially in children

Stop use and ask a doctor if

(for TYLENOL® Sore Throat Daytime and NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ products)

• new symptoms occur
• redness or swelling is present
• pain gets worse or lasts for more than 10 days
• fever gets worse or lasts for more than 3 days

(for TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat Daytime and NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ products)

• pain or cough gets worse or lasts for more than 7 days
• fever gets worse or lasts for more than 3 days
• redness or swelling is present
• new symptoms occur
• cough comes back or occurs with rash or headache that lasts. These could be signs of a serious condition
• you get nervous, dizzy or sleepless (for TYLENOL® Cough & Sore Throat NightTime Liquid with Cool Burst™ only)

If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use.

Keep out of the reach of children.

Overdose warning:    Taking more than the recommended dose (overdose) may cause liver damage. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center (1-800-222-1222) right away. Quick medical attention is critical for adults as well as for children even if you do not notice any signs or symptoms.
