Takeda Pharma Plans to Sell Obesity Drug in Japan, Nikkei Says
Jan 25, 10 Drug NewsTakeda Pharmaceutical Co. plans to sell an obesity-fighting drug in Japan as early as fiscal 2012, Nikkei English News said, without citing anyone. The Japanese drugmaker will apply for a license by the end of fiscal 2010 to manufacture and sell the drug, the report said.
Takeda also aims to begin phase 3 clinical trials in the U.S. this year of a drug to suppress appetite and increase metabolism, the report said.
