Glenmark Generics gets USFDA nod for hypertension, heart drugs
May 11, 10 FDA ApprovalsPharmaceuticals` wholly owned subsidiary Glenmark (Q,N,C,F)* Generics has received an approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) for Trandolapril and Verapamil Hydrochloride tablets in strength of 4 mg, 240 mg respectively.
Trandolapril is an ACE inhibitor used to treat High Blood Pressure; it may also be used to treat other conditions.
Verapamil-based medications can be prescribed for several heart and blood pressure problems.
Shares of Glenmark Pharmaceutical gained Rs 3, or 1.08%, to trade at Rs 281.50. The total volume of shares traded was 199,029 at the BSE (12.38 p.m., Monday).
