DESCRIPTION

Each serving size (3 caplets) of LACTAID® Original Strength Caplets contains 9000 FCC (Food Chemical Codex) units of lactase enzyme (derived from Aspergillus oryzae ).

Each serving size (1 caplet) of LACTAID® Fast Act Caplet contains 9000 FCC units of lactase enzyme (derived from Aspergillus oryzae ).

Each serving size (1 tablet) of LACTAID® Fast Act Chewable Tablet contains 9000 FCC units of lactase enzyme (derived from Aspergillus oryzae ).

LACTAID® is the original lactase dietary supplement that makes milk and dairy foods more digestible for individuals with lactose intolerance. LACTAID® lactase enzyme hydrolyzes lactose into two digestible simple sugars: glucose and galactose. LACTAID® Caplets/Chewable Tablets are taken orally for in vivo hydrolysis of lactose.

ACTIONS

LACTAID® Caplets/Chewable Tablets work by providing the enzyme that hydrolyzes the milk sugar lactose (disaccharide) into the two monosaccharides, glucose and galactose.

USES

LACTAID® Supplements help prevent the gas, bloating, or diarrhea that many people may experience after eating foods containing dairy. *

DIRECTIONS

Original Strength: Swallow or chew 3 LACTAID® Original Strength Caplets with your first bite of dairy foods to help prevent symptoms. LACTAID® Fast Act Caplets: Swallow 1 caplet with your FIRST BITE of dairy foods. If necessary, you may swallow 2 caplets at one time. If you continue to eat foods containing dairy after 30-45 minutes, we recommend taking another caplet. LACTAID® Fast Act Chewable Tablets: Chew 1 tablet with your FIRST BITE of dairy foods. If necessary, you may take 2 chewable tablets at one time. If you continue to eat foods containing dairy after 30-45 minutes, we recommend taking another chewable tablet.

WARNINGS

Consult your doctor if your symptoms continue after using the product or if your symptoms are unusual and seem unrelated to eating dairy. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if carton is open or if printed plastic neckwrap is broken or if single serve packet is open.

LACTAID® Fast Act Caplets:    Lactase Enzyme (9000 FCC Lactase units/caplet), Microcrystalline Cellulose, Croscarmellose Sodium, Crospovidone, Magnesium Stearate, Colloidal Silicon Dioxide.

HOW SUPPLIED

LACTAID® Original Strength Caplets are available in bottles of 120 count. Store at or below room temperature (below 77°F) but do not refrigerate. Keep away from heat. LACTAID® Fast Act Caplets and Chewables are available in single serve packets of 12, 32, and 60 count packages. Store at below 77°F.

Also available: 100% lactose-free LACTAID® Milk.
